What follows is our ranking of the ten cities we know well enough to recommend without hedging — the ones we have built apps for, again and again, and would happily put our own weekends on.
The all-rounder. Barcelona carries everything in a single weekend — beach in the morning, rooftop at seven, a long dinner, a late club. It is the city where nobody complains about the choice. Budget in the region of €700 to €1 000 per person for three polished nights. The flight from most European cities is short and cheap. Nobody complains.
The set pieces write themselves. Bastian Beach Club on Saturday. Boca Grande for the see-and-be-seen dinner. Club Chica when the group wants it loud. The Barcelona EDITION rooftop for a pre-drink that needs no explaining. If it is the groom’s first bachelor weekend in Europe, send him here.

It is the bachelorette equivalent of a Jay-Z music video — chartered tenders, rose on ice, a photographer in the group whether or not you hired one. Expensive. Nobody forgets it. Send the friend who cares about the hotel more than the city.

Pacha, Ushuaïa, Hö, Amnesia. Sunset at Cafe del Mar that still works despite the Instagram count. A villa with a pool for the recovery day that is not optional. Ibiza rewards stamina and a slightly older crew — the kind who can do it three nights running and still book the boat.

Nammos is the centrepiece, Scorpios is the sunset, and the whitewashed streets do the work between meals. It is a visual city before it is anything else — book the table, book the photographer, and let the island do the rest. For a bride who cares about the record, it is the only choice.

Time Out Market for the first night. Pateo in Alcântara for the dinner that becomes the trip’s anchor. Park Bar at golden hour. A half-day at Carcavelos if the group can stand the sand. The kind of weekend people talk about for months afterward because they did not expect it to land so well.

Karlovy Lazne on the Saturday. Hemingway Bar when someone in the group wants a good drink instead of a cheap one. Medieval old-town dinners that come in at €30 a head. Group hotels at €50 a night. Prague is the answer to the question nobody wants to ask out loud: what if the groom’s friends are broke.

Széchenyi Baths as the Saturday afternoon. Instant-Fogás for the night. A38 on the river. Dinner cruises on the Danube that are less naff than they sound. It feels like a grown-up bachelor party without the standard beach-club drill — the right call for a second or third trip, when the group has earned variety.

Kazimierz district nightlife holds its own against anywhere on the continent. Escape rooms and shooting ranges for the daytime if the group wants the full stag-do spread. Medieval dinner halls that are unapologetically theatrical. Polish vodka culture is a real thing; the hangover is also real.
Full Krakow guide →Best for groups with a full week and zero tolerance for European cold. Budget €2 500 to €4 000 per person. Flights alone start at €600. It earns its place on this list only for the groom who is getting married on a beach and wants the sendoff to match.
Nikki Beach, LIV, E11EVEN. A South Beach condo for the group. It is a stretch from Europe and the jet-lag eats a day at each end. If the calendar is tight, swap it for Marbella. If the calendar is genuinely open, Miami is the one trip on this list that does not feel like a weekend.
If it is the group’s first bachelor weekend in Europe, Barcelona — every time. The logistics are forgiving, the budget is predictable, and the set pieces are famous for a reason. If the group has already done Barcelona and wants the same quality in a different register, Lisbon or Budapest. Same calibre of evening, a fraction of the bill.
If the groom cares about the hotel more than the city, Marbella. If the bride cares about the photographs, Mykonos. If the group is tight on money and loose on expectations, Prague. Those are the four calls we make most often, and the ones we are most confident about. Everything else on this list is a variation on a theme.
